Get Your Wigle On is a multi award-winning musical theatre company in Shrewsbury with a small team of energetic, hard-working and passionate individuals. Our company runs from a studio in the heart of Shrewsbury’s town centre and offers dance, drama and musical theatre classes to all ages. We perform multiple productions at Theatre Severn as well as showcasing local talent at other venues and events across the year. Formed in 2012, the company has grown over the last 10 years and continues to look at new ways to inspire and create theatrical training and performances for all ages.

Get Your Wigle On is an award wining musical theatre company based in the heart of Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Set up in 2010, the company has produced over 100 productions at Theatre Severn and nurtured the learning and growth of over 10,000 performers within the local community over the past decade. Under the Wigle umbrella, we also run a large costume hire company (Spotlight Costume Hire), a local Choir (Choir in The Shire) and host examinations for students looking to further their development. In order for us to continue to expand, a rare opportunity has become available to join our award wining musical theatre company.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has a passion for theatre to join our company. The ideal applicant would specialise in either drama or vocal lessons, whilst also being able to turn their hand to all areas of musical theatre. The applicant should also have good administrative skills to assist with relevant paper work, as well as a good knowledge of our business, and some general experience within the world of theatre.
This is a full time permanent role and a brilliant opportunity to join a thriving business; whilst exploring multiple areas of the musical theatre industry with room to progress and develop with training. There could also be the option to split this role into two part time jobs should the ideal candidate not be found.
About the job:
We are looking for a confident, reliable, friendly and hard working individual to join our small hardworking team. The role would be contracted to 30- 38 hours a week based at our studio Monday - Saturday. Working hours will typically be between the hours of 11am-8.00pm (with some flexibility). There will also be occasional work outside of office hours (weekends and late evenings) to assist with our productions and events in the town.
This role will work alongside our creative team and will undertake a varied list of roles including:

Elements of production organisation and creative input

Teaching group classes and leading private tuition
-
Overseeing examination season and entering candiates
-
Co-ordinating and managing examination and production admin
-
Co-ordinating and planning external events that the company takes part in throughout the year.

Liaising with local businesses and networking
-
Co-ordinating and sourcing costuming and props for classes, shows and examinations
-
Assisting with the marketing of our productions and studio; with scope to learn about PR, marketing and social media management.

General housekeeping duties
Key attributes required:

The ideal candidate would ideally have a good sense of musicality OR good knowledge and background in drama.

Ideal candidate will be willing to get stuck in and get their hands dirty and not afraid of turning their hand to physical work in order to help with tasks such as loading our vans for show week and hires in addition to setting up events (we love a team player)!

Candidate will be proactive, always going the extra mile, able to work autonomously, able to prioritise your workload and remain calm under pressure.

This position would ideally hold a valid UK driving license - although not essential.

The candidate will also be required to undertake a full DBS check and undergo first aid training.

PRODUCTION AND HIRE EXTRAORDINARE

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hardworking and organised individual to join our company. The ideal applicant would have brilliant organisation and administrative skills as well as being able to work efficiently under pressure. The applicant must also hold valid U.K driving license and be comfortable driving a van to transport costume hires across the country.

STUDIO CLASS ASSISTANT

This is a perfect opportunity for a fun, positive and confident individual looking for part time work. The applicant should be available to work a minimum of two nights per week (Monday - Friday), between the hours of 3.30pm - 8.00pm. This is a part time role and a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving business whilst exploring multiple areas of the musical theatre industry, with the room to progress and develop with training.
About the job:
The role would be contracted to 4 hours a week based at our studio Monday - Friday. Working hours will typically be between the hours of 3.30—8.00pm (with some flexibility). There will also be occasional work outside of these hours (weekends and late evenings) to assist with our productions and events.

This role will work alongside our Wigle team predominantly assisting in our after school sessions and will include:
