WIGLE STATEMENT 5th January 2021
In line with the recent government announcement, from Tuesday January 5th all Wigle sessions will move online until schools can reopen.
For the first week of learning, lessons will run on Zoom at the students usual lesson times. A new online timetable (which will be launched on the 7th January) will come into effect from the second week of term.
The sessions listed below will not run on zoom:
Annie Orphans - These sessions will resume when we are able to meet as a complete team to film the project. Full details will be available following the first few weeks in January but we expect to have the project completed before February half term. An email to those involved will be sent out in the next few days.
The Witches - The children involved are asked to continue reading their scripts and learning their lines ready to continue staging in the studio. There could be additional rehearsals nearer to the performance time. Any payments already made will have refunded fees for the first two weeks of term.
Hunchback Choir - James will be teaching our Aladdin session whilst on zoom and so will not be running this session on zoom. An email to those involved will be sent out over the next few days with full information and refunds for the first few weeks of term will be given to those that have paid already.
Aladdin Team A, B and C - The Aladdin cast will work towards filmed content as soon as the studio re-opens.
ZOOM LESSON INFO
We will be uploading dance recaps and classes to YouTube for extra practice and aim to make the sessions as productive and fun as possible. It is important to note that children do not need to have their camera on if they do not wish to - but we would LOVE all to attend online to ensure we are able to keep momentum up as we set the show. Zoom does work best on Laptops / computers but is also available on phones and iPad devices. Please use the same information for Zoom as used in November - this can be found here: www.gywo.co.uk/wigleonline
Annie Video Project - we are still planning on having the performance streaming ready for February. We are confident we will have the time to achieve this and cant wait for the end result!
All other planned productions are still scheduled to be performed and we are confident that a live performance or a filmed theatre show will be possible. You are asked to take a look at the members hub on our website which contains updated show dates and times for all productions.
SINGING LESSONS / DRAMA
Please contact the tutor to enquire about the set up - but all sessions will run as expected whether face to face or on zoom.
Term fees are now due - if you haven't already made a payment please can we ask you to do so at your earliest convenience. Our staff are going to be continuing to work on the productions, session planning and running of the online classes and all studio costs are continual.
We thank you all for your love and support that you all continue to give and look forward to seeing our members online or back in the studio very soon!!
