ABOUT
THE SHOW

Members of Get Your Wigle On aged 8 - 18 join forces to stage one of the most popular modern musicals.

Matilda has astonishing wit, intelligence... and special powers! She's unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her schoolteacher, the highly loveable Miss Honey. Matilda's school life isn't completely smooth sailing, however – the school's mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children and just loves thinking up new punishments for those who don't abide by her rules. But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the school pupils' saving grace!

Packed with amazing songs, fabulous characters and a fabulous script this show is perfect for the whole family.

The Casts of Matilda jr

As always the casting process has been extremely difficult after such a fabulous round of auditions.  We would like to thank all of those that took the time to try out for this musical - we were truly blown away by the effort put into the auditions.

Unfortunately we are unable to cast all of those that auditioned as spaces are limited. We have a lot of new sessions opening up, and there are more auditions around the corner. Matilda requires a cast of mixed ages, and so those unsuccessful under the age of 13 are encouraged to audition for Cinderella or Joseph ensemble this September. Those aged 13+ can look at auditioning for Adrian Mole or Joseph at the end of the summer.

Congratulations to those cast in the production. The first rehearsals will take place week commencing 6th September. Books can be collected from the studio from 9th August when we will be open 9am - 5.30pm for those that wish to get learning at home before the new term. Term fees will be on our website next week and will be due before the start of the September term. Fees include all books and costumes. There will also be new Matilda t-shirts available to order on our website next week. A welcome email will go out to the cast next week with all of this information and more.

Huge thanks to all from the GYWO staff team. Have a great summer and we look forward to starting this journey in September.
