This summer, we're thrilled to announce our electrifying two-week summer production: Madagascar Jr - the musical extravaganza based on the beloved animated film!
Calling all young performers aged 8-18 to join us for an unforgettable adventure as we bring the wild and wonderful world of Madagascar to life on Theatre Severn stage.
From Alex the lion to Marty the zebra, your favorite characters will leap from screen to stage in a spectacle filled with laughter, friendship, and unforgettable tunes.

With daily sessions at our Wigle Studio in the Quarry from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, our talented team will guide participants through rehearsals, workshops, and the excitement of bringing a full-scale production to life.

Auditions will determine casting, ensuring every participant has a chance to shine and be a vital part of our show. Plus, with costumes provided, all students need to bring is your passion for performance and a can-do attitude!

Bookings open at 10am on Monday, March 18th! Secure your spot by signing up via our website and paying a £48 deposit. Don't miss out – spaces will be strictly limited.

WORKSHOP DETAILS
Workshop Dates
This workshop will run on 22nd July - 2nd of August 2024 from 9.00am - 5.00pm. (Earlier drop off or later pick up can also be arranged at a small additional charge - please email info@wigles.co.uk for more info.) Our doors will not open until 8.50am each day.

The performance evening will begin at 6pm - the children will be with us until after the performance which will finish at roughly 7.15pm.
Who can join?
This workshop is recommended for children ages 8 - 18.
Our summer workshops are open to both wigle members and non-members. Children do not require previous dancing, singing or acting training. No auditions are required – just a willingness to give it a go!
What is the workshop cost?
Our workshops are priced to be as affordable as possible - working out at less than £3 an hour!

This price includes five days tuition (each at 8 hours) with our talented staff team (all of whom are first aid trained and hold complete DBS checks), scripts, costumes and the fabulous day at Theatre Severn with the performance on Friday. There is never a dull moment in our summer workshops with lots of fun activities to break up the day.

The total workshop cost is:
£235.00 for Get Your Wigle On members
or
£265.00 for non Get Your Wigle On members
Location
This workshop will run from our Quarry Studio (located on St Austin Friars, Shrewsbury).
What does my child need to bring
Children are asked to bring a packed lunch and water bottle which can be filled up throughout the day. We recommend children wear comfortable clothing suitable for dance and drama activities.
How to book
A deposit is required to book a place on the workshop.
To sign up, simply book your place by paying a £48.00 deposit or the full workshop balance below. ​
The remaining balance is due 21 days before the workshop.
All fees are non refundable unless spaces are re-advertised and filled.
